Basic Info
Name:Vincent Valentine
Location:United States
Bio
CHARACTER:
Name: Vincent Valentine

Age: Doesn't look a day past 27 due to an experiment. (is actually in his 60s)

Series: Final Fantasy 7 Compilation

Species: Human

Gender: Male

Occupation: Nothing, at the moment, though being a bounty hunter eventually would be cool.

Point of canon to be drawn in: After the defeat of Sephiroth once again at the hands of Cloud and before Dirge of Cerberus begins.

Level: Terra

Appearance: Vincent has a most unique look to him, and although he stands at an average 6 feet tall, he would most likely stand out in a crowd. Cold, blood red eyes stand out against his partially hidden and pale face, his red, high collared cloak doing the hiding. Also aiding in hiding his face is long, wild black hair. Clad in black, he wears a pair of pointed metal shoes and carries himself in an almost business like manner. Some might even think he carries himself with pride, or is merely just too stiff for his own good.

Due to an experiment that was done on him years ago, he no longer has a human left arm; in its' place is a metal arm from about the elbow down, a claw at the end of it instead of a hand. At his hip is his trusted gun Cerberus, whose barrel he can take apart and customize with other ones.

Personality: Doesn't prefer to say much or overly babble, thus he comes across as very cold, and uncaring. Another thing that could make him seem such is his tendency to be straight to the point, or in other words, quite blunt. At the same time though, he can be so very vague. Perhaps he does that just to add to his mystique? Past experiences have caused him to become more closed off than he had been originally, so this could very well be true.

However, if you're lucky enough for him to consider as a friend, he will come around when he's most needed. He tends to prefer quiet and alone time, keeping out of most conflicts and/or gossip. He has a set of morals, though sometimes the right or wrong ones seem to blur together depending on what another may see.

Abilities: Not much on hand-to-hand, Vincent prefers long range weapons and is pretty much an expert marksman. On top of that, due to an experiment on him, he also has increased speed/reflexes, enhanced senses, durability, and unfortunately for him, the ability to transform into three monstrous beasts and one demon of sorts. His control on the three can be fairly strong, but it's the demon Chaos that can give him trouble. They're more of a curse than an ability, but he's slowly learning to live with what he is, but he's not quite there yet...An added bonus of sorts though is that even if Vincent takes a huge amount of damage, so long as he transforms and reverts back, he'll be healed of all injuries.

Personally, he doesn't find himself strong in any other aspect, but his friends may disagree. Vincent can be a source of wisdom for some people, and can be good to talk to...even if he doesn't really seem like he wants to listen.

History: An ex-Turk, Vincent was once employed to SEC, or Shinra Electric Company. Liked or disliked, nothing mattered more to him than his job, and as such, he became reliable, being given jobs to do alone, as opposed to other Turks coming along. One such mission would turn out to be literally life changing for all involved, and even for some who weren't. The young Valentine was ordered to guide and protect a small group of scientists to Nibelheim, most importantly a man named Hojo. He conversed avidly with his assistant, Lucrecia Crescent, the two falling for one another. However, he soon learned of their plans to experiment on humans and tried to appeal to Lucrecia, who refused to hear him out. After a heated argument, she ran off, and into the arms of Hojo.

She soon became pregnant, and allowed Hojo to experiment on her and their unborn son. Frustrated and worried for Lucrecia, he tried talking to Hojo, who shot him dead for his efforts. While out, Hojo himself experimented on him, crafting the metal limb and giving him the unwanted, yet unique ability to transform into monsters. His body took it well enough, but was in danger of failing, until Lucrecia did something desperate in order to save him. She put in a creature of old, dubbed Chaos, inside of him. The demon proved to live up to his name, and fought to escape the tub Vincent had been put in to try and keep him alive. Somehow, Lucrecia came across an object called Protomateria and placed it into Vincent's chest, the materia working to calm the demon within her lover.

For the most part.

Hojo was unaware of this, and even who Chaos was. He had his suspicions, but never acted on them. Instead, he put Vincent in a coffin and locked him deep within Shinra Mansion. The young man was tormented for years by nightmares of his failure, later being awakened by Cloud, the leader of a group by the name of AVALANCHE. Deciding to join them, he aided in the battle and defeat of Sephiroth, realizing that his failure had caused much more damage and tragedy than he could have imagined. After the defeat of Sephiroth, he went away, hiding mostly in the Forgotten Capital as he thought on his mistakes. Two years went by before he saw anyone again, having saved Cloud from an attack by Kadaj and his brothers in the Capital.

False Memories: As far as he's concerned, both of his parents are alive and well, they just.....don't talk to him, and he doesn't speak to them either. As far as he's concerned, they shunned him sometime ago for not joining in his father's interest in science. The fact that he became a part of a company with a secret, dangerous group of killers didn't help things either.

He has no recollection of ever being experimented on, and he remains unsure as to how he ended up the way he is now. Since he can't recall any of that time period, he doesn't know any science types either, although he can recall the company's name. All he's really aware of are before and after all that.

Since he's skilled with a gun and would rather not deal with people more than he has to, he picked bounty hunting as an occupation. Outside of business, he does little else, and remains alone, which he likes. It also fits his current frame of mind, Vincent not being all that high on his past with the Turks, or his current condition with the transformations. To him, bounty hunting fits Vincent quite well.

One last thing is that he doesn't know Cloud, Aerith, Tifa, or really any of AVALANCHE. If they happen to know him, he will not recall them.
